Youth and Young Adult Ministry
About Us
Acknowledging our membership to the church militant, we, the Youth and Young Adult Ministry of Our Lady Queen of the World Catholic Church deem ourselves Soldiers of Christ, members of the Army of Jesus through Mary, actively serving and battling evil in order to win the war for souls in today’s modern world.
In the spirit of St. John of the Cross, we run on E.M.P.T.Y. because it is with emptying ourselves that we are able to be filled with the Lord.
EucharisticThe sacrament of love and of charity, we look to Jesus’ real presence in the Eucharist as the wind fanning the fire for Christ in our hearts. We place the Eucharist as the “source and summit” of not only our ministry, but our personal lives as well.
Marian
We take Mary as our own mother, asking her aid in all that we do, that she may lead us to her son, our Lord. We look to Mary as our model of servanthood, who, though not completely understanding what God had in store for her, let go of all her worries and entrusted them to God. We pray with her and through her that we may trust in the Lord's goodness, even when the path ahead is not quite clear.
PrayerThough we are called to serve in many ways, we ensure that prayer is the rhythm of our ministry. Everything is done with, and as, a prayer. We strive to be in constant conversation with our Lord and Maker by offering up our prayers and petitions, listening and taking in all of the beautiful things He has to say, as well as simply being in the stillness of His presence.
TruthSince Jesus is the way, the TRUTH, and the life, we choose to submit ourselves to the authority of the church of the living God, which is the Pillar and foundation of truth. We strive to be faithful followers of the church that Christ Himself instituted by not only obeying the authority of the Magisterium, but familiarizing ourselves with its teachings, as well.
Youth FriendlyAs scripture teaches, one cannot come into the kingdom unless they become like a child. That being said, our main apostolate is to reach out to the children and youth, and to battle evil so as to help them maintain their innocence and purity.
